What effect does the VVA (used to set gain) have on the power output capability? Specifically, if I use the VVA to set the unit for lower gain, will the P1dB pointed be effected? Also, what is the bandwidth of the VVA, is it capable of being switched between min and max gains quickly (10's of microseconds)? Thanks.

Hello,

The VVA does not  change the P1dB capability but we have the extender module that will increase the P1dB of the amplifier. Yes it can switch fast between max and minimum gain in 10s of microsecond. What is the requirement?
